Charging operators shift focus from station count to uptime
EV drivers are paying closer attention to reliability, repair speed and real-time charger availability.
Public charging networks are moving beyond headline station counts and focusing on uptime as the metric drivers actually feel.
Operators are adding remote diagnostics, better spare-part logistics and clearer app status data. For drivers, a smaller network with working chargers can be more useful than a larger network with uncertain availability.
Reliability is also becoming a key factor for fleets, where downtime directly affects operating cost.
